Our clinic founder Dr. Jerry D. Gregory earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Biology from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. He worked in the research field at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, before going on to the College of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University, where he graduated with a DVM degree in 1976. In 1977, Dr. Gregory, his wife Janice, and their family moved to the Tampa Bay area, where he spent a few years honing his orthopedic surgery skills while working at the Tampa Greyhound Track.
In 1985, Dr. Gregory opened Gregory Veterinary Clinic. He worked alongside his son, Dr. Ryan Gregory, for several years before retiring in 2000 and leaving the clinic in Dr. Ryan’s capable hands. Dr. Gregory is now thoroughly enjoying retired life and cherishes the opportunity to spend more time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is passionate about the great outdoors, particularly when it involves fishing, hiking, or camping.
Dr. Ryan is honored to operate and grow Gregory Veterinary Clinic with the same philosophy his father established it on—compassionate, high quality veterinary care for the lifetime of your pet. Dr. Ryan’s dedication to keeping the clinic on the forefront of veterinary medicine ensures that Gregory Veterinary Clinic will be proudly serving the people and pets of the Tampa area for many generations to come.
