Appointment policy
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate by appointment only. Emergency cases will always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time, and we thank you for your patience and understanding.
Patient arrival policy
For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. For your protection and the protection of all pets and people in the clinic, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.
Payment policy
We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash, personal checks, and Care Credit.
We have transitioned to a new credit card system to provide more efficient service, and a 3% administration fee is now applied for all credit transactions.
But as a courtesy, we are applying a 3% “cash discount” to all transactions using cash, check, or pin debit card! If you use any of these forms of payment, you will not be charged the additional fee.
Drop-off appointments
For your convenience, drop-off appointments may be available. A drop off appointment involves bringing your pet to the clinic in the morning at a designated time and leaving them in our care for a few hours. Our doctors will examine your pet in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for drop-off appointments. Once the doctor is done, you’ll get a call to go over the diagnosis, treatment plan, discharge instructions, and to schedule a time to come pick them up. There is an additional hospitalization/day stay fee associated with this appointment.
Technician appointments
We offer technician appointments for quick, minor services and booster vaccines. For these appointments, the pet must be established with the practice—which means they have had an exam with the vet within two years and are current on their rabies vaccine. These appointments must be scheduled to ensure we have available staff and space. The following treatments may be done in a technician appointment: anal gland expressions, nail trims, Adequan injections, Cytopoint injections, ProHeart injections, bordetella vaccines, DA2PP vaccines, lepto vaccines, flu vaccines, replacing a Libre device, bloodwork previously recommended by a doctor, and heartworm tests. A technician is NOT permitted to give the Rabies vaccine.
Free adoption exams
Adopt, don’t shop! At Gregory Veterinary Clinic, we strongly encourage the adoption of new pets from animal shelters, the Humane Society, or rescue organizations. As a thank you for rescuing or adopting, we offer a free courtesy examination on your new furry friend to answer any questions you have, perform a complete physical examination, and make recommendations as needed. Supporting paperwork that shows you recently adopted from a shelter or rescue group is required, and the adoption must have occurred within the last 30 days.
Medication Refills
For all refills on medications or written prescriptions, please allow 24 hours for it to be filled. Refills should be placed through our dedicated phone line. When calling, please leave a voicemail with your pet’s name, last name, name of the medication, dose you currently give, and the dosing directions. Our goal for all refills is to have it ready by the end of the day if called before noon, and to have it ready the next morning if called in after noon. For medications that need to be special ordered and for clients who would like the pills cut prior to pick up, pre-payment for medications is required.
