Puppy and kitten wellness plans were created to help you and your new companion to get started off on the right paw providing all of the necessary preventative health care that he or she will need to stay healthy and happy for the first year of their lives.
What does a puppy or kitten plan include?
Vaccine protocols are customized for each puppy and kitten based on their lifestyle. Your new pet will receive all recommended vaccines to help protect them from diseases that they are at risk of contracting.
Puppies and kittens grow and develop at a rapid rate. Frequent veterinary wellness exams are recommended to monitor their development. Wellness exams are a great opportunity for you to ask questions about your new companion. With each wellness plan, your puppy or kitten will receive unlimited examinations for the first year of their lives.
Intestinal Parasite Screenings and De-worming
All puppies and kittens will receive three intestinal parasite screenings and two doses of a de-wormer. Intestinal parasites are typically passed on by the mother and can make your new puppy or kitten very ill. Some intestinal parasites are even contagious to humans and other animals. Therefore, fecal examinations are performed at regular intervals to detect any intestinal parasites your kitten may have.
Spay and Neuter
A spay or neuter surgery wellness package will include all of the above as well as your basic spay or neuter, pre-anesthetic blood work, IV catheter, pain medication, antibiotics, and an Elizabethan collar to go home. Spay or neuter surgery needs to be done by 7 months of age.
