From Then To Now: The Story Of Gregory Veterinary Clinic

Journey through the years with us and uncover how Gregory Veterinary Clinic has evolved, driven by a mission to provide unparalleled care for your furry family members.

Meet Our Doctors

    • Dr. Ryan Gregory with his family

      Ryan Gregory, DVM

      Veterinarian

Meet Dr. Ryan, a true Floridian at heart with his roots deeply planted in the Tampa Bay area for his first two decades. His journey in science began with a BS in Biology from the University of Colorado in 2000, paving the way to his veterinary degree from the University of Tennessee in 2008.

Specializing in internal medicine, dermatology, and surgery, Dr. Ryan takes immense pride in continuing his father's legacy in veterinary medicine. Working alongside his dad, he often quips, “call me Dr. Ryan—my father is Dr. Gregory!” Away from the clinic, Dr. Ryan is all about family adventures with his wife Lacy, their sons Beckham and Davis, and their playful dogs, Luna and Kenobi.

Whether he's hitting the golf course, casting a line, or cheering on the Vols, Dr. Ryan embodies a passion for life both in and out of the clinic.

    • Dr. Cameron Abercrombie with her family

      Cameron Abercrombie, DVM

      Veterinarian

Dr. Abercrombie's journey from the computer screens of software engineering at Delta Airlines to the hands-on world of veterinary medicine is a tale of passion rediscovered. After growing up in Macon, GA, and spending two decades in Atlanta, her move to Tampa in 2012 marked a new chapter. With a Bachelor's in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech and inspired by her father's medical career, she sought a path that combined her love for science with a desire for more human (and animal) interaction.

Veterinary school called to her, leading to a DVM degree from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Today, she thrives in her role, finding deep fulfillment in surgery, treating hypothyroid dogs, and especially in the joy of teaching—whether it's mentoring her team, guiding new vets, or helping pet owners make informed decisions.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Abercrombie's life is just as rich and full. She and her husband, Bill, along with their children, Sara Beth and William, form an energetic, sport-loving family that enjoys traveling and embracing every adventure together. Their home is a lively blend of human and animal companionship, shared with dogs Walter and Meg, and cats Graham, Luna, and Flynn. A typical weekend might find her walking along Bayshore Boulevard with her dogs, surrounded by the natural beauty that makes Tampa so special to her.

    • Dr. Carly Dworkin kneeling in front of a fence with her dog

      Carly Dworkin, DVM

      Veterinarian

Dr. Dworkin, a proud South Floridian, wears her University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine badge with honor—class of 2018, and a loud and proud "Go Gators!" chant to match.

Before her veterinary journey, she laid her academic foundations with a BS in Biology from the same esteemed university, dedicating her spare moments to local animal rescue endeavors. Growing up in a home bustling with family dogs, Dr. Dworkin's lifelong love for animals has guided her career, with a keen focus on dentistry, spay and neuter surgeries, and the crucial realm of preventive medicine.

Away from Gregory Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Dworkin's adventures range from magical days at Disney World with her husband Paul to cozy Netflix marathons alongside Mulligan, her three-legged wondermutt, and Gilly, her feline child.

    • Dr. Elizabeth Wynn holding one of her rescue cats

      Elizabeth Wynn, DVM

      Veterinarian

Dr. Elizabeth Wynn is a dedicated veterinarian with a passion for animal care and community service. After earning her degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder, she graduated from Colorado State University’s veterinary program in 2000.

For over 15 years, Dr. Wynn volunteered at Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, caring for exotic cats such as bobcats, lynx, lions, leopards, and tigers. She especially loved working with leopards for their grace and spirit.

At home, Dr. Wynn shares her life with her husband, their daughter, and their rescue pets: Piper, a playful dog from Alabama, and two cats, Tippy and Penny, each with their own heartwarming rescue stories.

When she’s not at the clinic, Dr. Wynn enjoys snorkeling, SCUBA diving, hiking, and fishing with her family.

Her expertise, compassion, and adventurous spirit make Dr. Wynn a valued member of the Gregory Veterinary Clinic team.

  • Can’t say enough good things about Gregory Veterinary Clinic. Everyone we met was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we walked in. Dr. Dworkin was amazing. She took her time, answered all of our questions, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand without ever making us feel rushed.

  • By far the best vet I have ever been to! They have an incredibly kind and knowledgeable staff who put together a comprehensive plan for my dog’s treatment. This is a precise operation, not a vet that throws stuff at a wall and sees what sticks. I would give them 6 stars, but they only allow 5.

  • I always have a good experience, even when the news is sad. Dr Ryan and colleagues are excellent and trustworthy. Dr Ryan has been my provider since 2017, when I moved to Tampa. I’m now four years into my second dog under his care.
